In June, we partnered with Mosaic Accelerator to host an intensive 4-week bootcamp designed to empower entrepreneurs in building their Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Participants gained valuable insights, learned about the best tech options for their business, and received expert guidance, all while navigating the challenges of bringing their ideas to life.

In June, we hosted a 4-week bootcamp in collaboration with Mosaic Accelerator to help participants build out their MVPs.

Here’s what one participant, Amanda, had to say about their experience.

What are the top 3 things you learned in the bootcamp?

  1. Looking at your vision and truly deciding what an MVP is. The team gave several tools to help determine how to create a leaner approach that provides value in the marketplace.
  2. Introduction to no-code tools that can help deliver on your MVP. The team is well-versed in various tools and will help you get on track and troubleshoot when you need it.
  3. Your app or tech doesn’t have to be perfect; it needs to be good enough to get in front of your stakeholders to validate that there is a business use for your market. Your product will always be a work in progress.

What did you find most challenging in the bootcamp?

It’s a time-consuming project, so ensuring that you have the time to dedicate to the project will make a huge difference. I wanted to make sure my class and one-on-one times were beneficial, so I needed to put time in between meetings.

It can be tricky between life, family, and work.

Was it hard to learn the technology needed to build your MVP?

I am fairly tech savvy so I found the tools easy to learn.

Again, put in the time and videos when you get stuck. If you hit a big issue, reach out to the Cue North team and they will help you get back on track.

How much time did you spend on the bootcamp and building out your MVP each week?

I spent about 10+ hours each week on the app and continued to after the class.

I walked away with a functional app, database, website, and high-level messaging from my 4-week bootcamp.

It got me to the point that I can start further user testing and contacting my network.

What’s next for you? What will you do with your MVP?

I have reached out to a few people who specialize in my field to refine the product and locate Beta testers for the web app. I need to confirm the best business model for the web app at this time, and I hope to do this by connecting with my network.

Any other advice for entrepreneurs looking to build out their MVP?

Have a clear vision of what you want your MVP to deliver and how it will provide value to your target market. Also, putting in the time to do it yourself will make sure your vision doesn’t get lost in translation with an app developer.

How was your experience with the Cue North team?

Tanzi and Lorraine were exceptionally educated, friendly, and encouraging.

I’m really happy I worked with the Cue North team and will come back as my app evolves. The bootcamp helped keep me on track, and I’ve had more traction in the 4 weeks than I’ve had the last two years thinking about the app.
